Q:What was your motivation of the start-up?
I hit upon a great idea when I was in the cultural and creative market. Therefore, I attempted to launch some products by myself. In fact, my products were unadorned without any decorations at first. Finally, they were decorated with some dried flowers and other things.
Q:While crafting, what should you be careful of?
Firstly, the proportion is important. It must be accurate. Secondly, the weather affects dry speed. When it is humid, the product becomes rough. Last but not least, be careful about the rolling or spill the raw material.
Q:Please share some unforgettable experiences with us.
I usually meet some interesting customers especially the military when running a stall. They always say, "My comrades reek of odor!" Then, they would buy the fragrance sachets and put them in their closets. It's surprising! Generally, the male isn't interesting in such a thing but they like it! Besides, some customers give me good suggestions which I take as reference.
Q:Please offer some suggestions for the youth who intend start up.
"Do not overthink it, just do it!" she said. There are no restrictions on the start-up, which is not that hard as you thought. Assume that your capital is enough, you can open a bricks and mortar. Conversely, your capital isn't enough then you can open an online shop. I'm a "slash" who is always asked, "Why don't you concentrate on your career?" by the elders. It's because I want to do what I love. While crafting, I feel upbeat.
Q:What was your motivation of delivering a DIY course?
I cooperated with Shih San Restaurant where I used to work part-time before. I really appreciated the boss who gave me the opportunity to deliver the DIY course which was initially an art course.
Q:Have you ever met the customer who had excessive requirements?
I haven't yet. To compared with the open shop, there were less difficult customers. Sometimes, I was worried about the quality of my products. Luckily, most of my customers were satisfied with the products and they joyfully shared the pictures with me.
Q:Those products in your studio such as fragrance sachets and soy candle are related to plants. Do you intend to blend the imageries of Kinmen’s endemic species with your products?
I would like to get the ball rolling from the dried flowers, such as dried Sorghum flowers, dried Flaming Trumpet and so on. Those plants are common in Kinmen.
Q:What is your blueprint of future?
If it is possible, I will open a bricks and mortar. I don't regard the studio as my full-time job because I must prepare many things before opening it. Additionally, I want to set up DIY course.
